Laowa 25mm f/2.8 2.5-5X Ultra Macro Lens for Canon RF
The Laowa 25mm f/2.8 2.5-5X Ultra Macro is a specialized manual focus lens dedicated to extreme close-up photography, designed for full-frame Canon RF mount cameras.
High Magnification Range and Working Distance
Designed for imagery greater than life-size, the lens operates within a 2.5:1 to 5:1 magnification range. It delivers a working distance of 45 mm at 2.5:1 and 40 mm at 5:1, providing sufficient room for lighting subjects closely.
Optical Design and Manual Control
The optical configuration includes 8 elements in 6 groups with an extra-low dispersion element to minimize chromatic aberrations and color fringing. The 25mm wide-angle optical formula provides greater depth of field than longer telephoto macro designs, while manual focus operation ensures precise control over the focus plane.
