Laowa 25mm f/2.8 2.5-5X Ultra Macro Lens for Canon EF
The Laowa 25mm f/2.8 2.5-5X Ultra Macro is a specialized macro lens for Canon EF mount cameras, dedicated to extreme close-up photography at magnifications greater than life-size.
High Magnification Range and Working Distance
Designed for reproduction ratios between 2.5:1 and 5:1, this lens provides a comfortable working distance of 45 mm at 2.5:1 and 40 mm at 5:1. This clearance allows sufficient room for auxiliary lighting to illuminate the subject effectively.
Optical Performance and Manual Control
The optical configuration features 8 elements in 6 groups, including an extra-low dispersion element that minimizes color fringing and chromatic aberrations. The wide-angle design yields greater depth of field than longer telephoto macro lenses, while precise manual focus control allows accurate focus placement on tiny details.
